Id love to see the proof. Most teachers I know at this point make approx. 1/3 of that. We are also not getting any raises this September in my district.

Who cares what pro sports team personnel get?
The taxpayers are not forced to pay them their ridiculous sums. Our property taxes don't go up everytime one of them gets a raise.
Every district has an Athletic Director. Someone had to leave for him to get it right? So why would taxes go up? An Athletic Director is an admin usually in charge of the health curriculum, physical education and athletics.
The man you are referring to is the Head Athletic Director. It is an administrative position that is under an administrative contract. It is a different union and contract than the teacher union/contract. He is governed by the same contract/ steps as the Superintendant. He has nothing to do with teacher salaries. He is not a gym teacher!!

Your reading comprehension is severely lacking.
Your writing is unintelligible and incoherent.
Where was I posting about anyone "leaving?"
I stated that taxes go up when they get a RAISE.
Expenses go up, as in "more money to pay out in this budget than the previous one."
Therefore, taxes go up.
Get it?
And you claim to be a public school teacher on Long Island?
I seriously hope you are just playing with us.
If it is true, your comments are doing the cause of LI public school teachers much more harm than good.

Nice try though!
And that justifies a salary of about $1000.00 per day that he shows up? The District has 3 buildings and 6 gym teachers. What does he actually do to justify such an outrageous salary & benefits?
