The interview on News 12 with the guy who stopped the car was GREAT! Pretty gutsy move...who knew if the losers in the car had a gun or not.

I hope the victims recover from this accident. Reminds me of how my SIL's family got hit head-on by an illegal drunk driver. I hope this guy is not going to be afforded any Constitutional rights, but instead turned over to ICE.

Will Channel 12 now launch an investigation into the large number of illegals on LI who drive without licenses/insurance? How about the crimes caused by illegals? Probably not.
The channel and newsday seem to be more of the "poor little angelic illegal alien" mindset.

My dad hit 2 illegal aliens in the same week back in the early 80's. His boss was in the car for the second one. Both were on bicycles.
The company he worked for was sued for an outrageous amount of money (Like a billion dollars or something). The lawyer threatened them with deportation (Which could never happen) and both guys dropped the lawsuit.
The aliens were ok physically but were out of bicycles.

Just remember, Cablevision owns News12 AND Newsday. Not sure what Cablevisions vested interest in illegals is, but they seem to be on their side. I feel pretty terrible for those girls, hopefully they'll be okay.

Not to be a-political or non-political or un-political (God forbid on these forums...) but I do not see anywhere in the article where it says the driver was illegal or "undocumented." Was this revealed somewhere else?

You know that this driver will be afforded all his,, er,, sorry I mean our Constitutional rights.

When I was a boy in school, I was taught by my teachers that the Constitution protects OUR rights as CITIZENS of the USA.

Now I see the fault with public school teachers, they were all wrong. All we get as citizens exclusivley is the right to pay taxes.
