My wife and I are looking to buy a house in Greenlawn (north of Pulaski - by east Maple Road - not sure what the section is called). We have a newborn. I'm curious if there are any places people could recommend to meet other new parents and stuff as we get settled in? We'd be within walking distance to the Harborfields library, hoping to meet some people there. Looks like they have some nice kids activities we could use as the baby grows up.
Any general ideas would be great! It sounds like there are some nice beaches we could go to by Centerport next summer.
Last thing, I see Edwin and Gertrude Grace Nature Preserve on the map, but can't find any info on it. Is it private?
Fleets Cove Beach has a playground right on the beach. Centerport beach is also a good one. Crab Meadow in Northport is the most popular town beach. $35 a year for access to all Town of Huntington beaches.
