i used a nikon d300 and marilyn her d80.. i used an assortment of lenses, nikon 17-55mm f2.8. nikon 50mm f1.4 and sigma 10-20mm super wide
marilyn used her d80 with 18-200mm
photomatix was used on the high dynamic range phorots (hdr)
nikon capture nx2 was used as the main raw editor with the nik color effex 3 software filter set..
alot of post processing work goes into our photos although no photoshop.......
I asked because I am still thinking of buying a nikon d300.
id go with the d90 at this point and get better lenses....
the d90 is newer technology and actually has better high iso performance...there are better features and build with the d300 but i think the better deal would be the 90 and better lenses
thanks.... i used a graduated neutral density filter for the rocks... that let me darken the sky so i could force the exposure brighter on the rocks then the camera otherwise would have.
with a bright sky and dark rocks those rocks would normally be almost just sillouettes.
