beautiful photos ! I grew up there and used to go to the old Gould castle on Sundays and just walk around. Thanks for bringing back great memories.

Seriously, really nice pictures. You certainly captured the essence of one of My favorite places on LI.

My favorite is the picture with the antique-like effect.

There are usually birds on the posts in the water. Did you scare then away?

i used a nikon d300 and marilyn her d80.. i used an assortment of lenses, nikon 17-55mm f2.8. nikon 50mm f1.4 and sigma 10-20mm super wide
marilyn used her d80 with 18-200mm

photomatix was used on the high dynamic range phorots (hdr)

nikon capture nx2 was used as the main raw editor with the nik color effex 3 software filter set..

alot of post processing work goes into our photos although no photoshop.......
