I want to live and work in california.

I want to work here and start a new life, i want to hear from anyone who has done this and from anyone who has advice and maybe even anyone that wants to employ a 27 yr old Brit girl!!!

I have had a tough time and alot of bad luck recently and although on the whole the UK has been good to me but i want more, i need a fresh start and i want the sunshine and i want to start a new adventure, to work hard and make the most of life.

Any help is appreciated

What kind of work do you want? What is your highest education level? Where are you thinking about moving? There is a lot more information needed.

Come with at least 4-5K to help get you settled and carry you for a bit while you look for work. Rent a room to save money. There are no guarentees but that's a start and will let you buy a plane ticket back to the UK if need be.

First things first - will you be eligible for a Visa? Moving to the USA isn't easy. Check out some of the expat forums for advice.

First and foremost you are going to need a work visa so you better start checking on that. If you can arrange to re-locate and have enough money to carry you for about 6 months good luck. Give it a shot, but do be prepared for some setbacks. How many times have you been to Calif is something for you to consider and why have you chosen California?

I am sure it will be the hardest, but if you can get one, welcome and good luck.
