I just recently moved to Las Vegas from Orlando, and I have made a friend who lives here in Vegas who is from the San Fernando Valley (West Hills to be exact) . I will be in LA for the 29 and 30 of July (I know thats a REALLY short time but I cant take more than 2 days off work)

Anyways it has always been a dream of mine to see Los Angeles, this will be my first time going. I know she is going to take me to the Santa Monica Pier as well as Hollywood, but is there anywhere else in LA that is worth going to?

2 days isn't going to give you much time: you might want to do Beverly Hills if that is your think and Rodeo Drive. I have never seen the thrill of Rodeo but others love it.

China Town or Alvera Street both come to mind. They are right on the downtown border and are both authentic from years past.

I am sure others are going to have ideas that I have even thought of as there are so many things to see and do.

If you are interested in museums, you might want to check out the ones on The Miracle Mile.
