The best thing to do is find an independent pizza place owned by former New Yorkers!
I found just that... Pizzaola in Chatsworth.

Mulberry St. Pizza is pretty darned good. For takeout its a shame Bronx Pizza in San Diego hasnt come north...quite good.

Mulberrys is good.We have one here in Encino on Ventura BLVD.
Also Grecos has some nice NY style.
But my favorite is BJs Brewery where they have Chicago(and we all know thats the best pizza anyways)
