Hey guys,

I'm planning my first trip to LA next week. I have done some search through trip advisor. I need help on the choice of hotel.

I have limited to either Sheraton Gateway Los Angeles Hotel or Homestead Studio Suites, both near LAX airport. but i heard it's not convenient for travelling. i will have a car with me. so 20 min drive is not a problem for me.

Can you guys recommend me some better option? My budget is USD 110 at most.

For places to visit, i plan to visit Getty Museum, Santa Monica 3rd St, Pase-Dena old town and Universal Studio.

Any more must visit place that you think i should cover?

Btw i plan for a 4 days trip to LA.

Thanks so much!

Don't stay near the airport--it's gross. The Getty is far away from LAX. The Farmer's Daughter on Fairfax is fun and hip and you can walk to places. Or look in Culver City.

the airport isn't gross, it's just not interesting. as for other places, there are hundreds, if not thousands of hotels in LA, narrowing it down to one is very difficult.

Why not find something in the San Fernando Valley that is sort if in between all those places. You might save money in Burbank, North Hollywood, Studio City, Sherman Oaks.

Look for a vacation rental on Craigslist or AirBNB or Homeaway in Studio City or West Hollywood.
