Does anyone know is most students living near campus?
Does anyone have the statistics about how many percent people is living further away?
My parents seem to think living in Monterey Park is too far..

A drive from UCLA to Monterey Park is 25 miles... Google Maps estimates the commute as 32 minutes, but I suspect (as a Houstonian) that it would take longer.

Yea. When there is no traffic, I can drive from Monterey park to UCLA within 20min
But the traffic will be terrible during the weekdays and especially in the morning from 6am to 10am.
I think its not a big problem, since everyone in US drives a long way to their work. However, my parents just think its too far and they are unhappy of my decision

I live in the area of Monterey Park,do you live in this area? There is too much traffic and congestion. It is a lot more fun and more things to do in Westwood then being stuck in the traffic.
