We are moving from North county San Diego with my family (5 year old starting kindergarten this year) to Westside southbay area. My office is going to be in El Segundo. Here, the school he is enrolled in starts on Aug 30th.

We are moving in mid September. Should I start him here and get a transfer to which ever school we move? or is there a better option. He is academically advanced and love to go to school. We haven't even found housing in LA yet.

How does the school system works there? Can I stay in one school district and send my kid to different school district?

We just want to make the transfer as easy for him.

Thanks

Best and easiest plan would be to call each district and ask someone in the district office. You'll get your answer in two minutes.
