Trip date: Sept 17-21

**Already been to LA 3 x last year. Each time stayed w/ a friend in North Hollywood. Thought NoHo was pretty decent. Fell in love with the LA area though**

Agenda: View a dozen or so condos, apts, guest houses, etc. Meet up with 4 or 5 friends I have in the area and get input from them and gather info.

Potential Area to move to: Santa Monica, WeHo, Hollywood, Wilshire. Most likely WeHo or Hollywood

Game plan: My lease runs out Nov 24th and I would like to move to LA. Been planning the trip for the last 9 months and will be staying in Hollywood for a week next month to scout out the LA area, will have a rental car and GPS so I can drive around the area.

Biggest conflict: The move. Period. Moving from Atlanta, will run a cost. Increased cost of living is also huge.

Advantages: I have a home based/online biz so there will be no commute! This will save on gas and time.

Budget: Take home 6 k /month. Would like to pay under 1800 in rent for 1bd/1bath. I found some great deals on westsiderentals.com

Reason for move: I love the warm sunny weather 320 days of the year. This is priceless to me.
The Beautiful view: ocean/ mountians.
Outdoor activity: Runyon Canyon, beach.
Even though I have an online biz it deals w/ the fitness industry so living in LA ( the heart of the fitness industry) will only help.

Ok thats my situation, here is my question(s): For those of you who live in the area or have moved to LA or are in the fitness industry --->
Do YOU think it would be worth it?

it sounds like your mind is made up and you have the financial means to make such a move. your budget will get you a nice 1br apartment almost anywhere in the city, you could even live within a few blocks from the beach if that's what you wanted. as for your industry, fitness is huge here, especially in the parks and at the beaches. you'll see all kinds of boot camps and exercise groups socializing and training throughout the region. i get a kick out of seeing the pregnant women fitness groups.

Thanks for the input BRinSM. That is refreshing to hear. Is there any other info I have not covered yet that you think I should look into?
