It took forever to here but this was worth the drive.

When it comes to the driving, if I came out here from New York or D.C. first, then it wouldn't be too bad. Coming here from Seattle where the drivers are probably the most polite in the nation, I was simply shocked. In fact I was blown away. I can only laugh.

Congestion breeds madness. Why do you think the few sane people left here will do anything to avoid traffic?

X2!

But splitting lanes takes nerves of steel. Sometimes, if traffic's really bad, a kind of psychosis infects some drivers. I've had several who seem to resent my lane splitting, and deliberately try to make it "interesting" for me by narrowing the gap.

Appraiser, what's your favorite lane-splitting bike? Mine was a chopped Sporty with drag bars. About 20" across at the bar ends, and the cagers can hear you coming over there stereos! I'm on a KLR 650 now- still good, but tougher in construction zones. I've accidently clipped a few mirrors with my hand guards (If I can, I stop and flip them back for the drivers- it's good PR! )

@ OP- you miss SEATTLE TRAFFIC??? I take it you didn't own a car up there!
