I'm sure its all just propaganda since we all know gang problems don't REALLY exist in these areas. They are actually very, very nice & friendly areas once you get to know your neighbors. NOT!!!

Mount Washington is the only area included on that list that should not be on there.

The others are all accurate.

The comment on that article about Panorama City being "The Jungle of the Valley" is interesting and accurate.

I think Mount Washington is included only because it is surrounded by locations with high gang activity. Its a small oasis "on the hill" but once you leave it you are right in the mix of the gangs.

That's a bit much. I 'leave' all the time and am hardly in the 'gang mix.' Mt. Wash shares a zip with Glassell and Cypress Parks. Where I live is oriented more toward 90042 and Highland Park. I've been here 15 years and gangs have not impacted me, at least not directly. I certainly don't feel isolated in any way.

The gang link is from April, 2008. Little has changed. Am I missing something?

Still, the blog entries were pretty funny. This guy just realized that Mt. Wash was included:

"Never mind, I looked closer. You are right. Damn, I used to live in the most pricey gang area in America!"
