I love LA and I don't make a lot of money at all. It's a great place to live - friendly people (for the most part), awesome weather, beach, mountains, lots of things to do... what's not to like?

Do you have school aged children? I think that's when things start to get complicated here. My wife and I live here, and for the most part we love it. We enjoy all the things you mentioned. Were we to have children though, our point of view may change.
