They are playing oldies! It's just that they're playing their oldies, not your oldies.

Maybe..maybe not My speakers aren't that loud, but my parents seem to complain about it all the time.

It's just a stupid phase in my life. It's lasted for 7 years...give it maybe 3 more, and it should be gone.

Like almost everything done in excess it's making up for a small wiener. All you have to do is look them in the eye to know that.

Well...i was thinking more along the lines of nat king cole, johnny mathis, the beatles, etc. Good quality music. The bee gees & bay city rollers are ok as well. I love a wide range of music (classic rock, pop & country) from the 50s to the mid 90s (mostly 60s-80s).

I'd probably get pissed if someone was blasting country.

Whenever one of these idiots pulls up near my car I feel physically sick and my nerves get really jarred.
You could encounter this in just about any part of the country, including rural areas. Mostly ghetto people do this, but also some younger drivers in general.

Yes, it usually sounds like crap and is especially annoying when you hear it in your home coming from the street outside.

I often hear this; it's bone-rattling, isn't it? However, that doesn't even begin to compare with the SOB motorcyclist who decided to race up and down our street at high speeds at 1:00 a.m. this past summer! He kept it up for a good twenty minutes. Compared to that, the annoyance of someone passing by for a few seconds rattling the windows is negligible - but still jarring. Senseless noise like that runs my nerves ragged.

Cyanna, you have my sympathy in regards to your noisy building. I used to live in one and it was Hell. I was so happy to finally move from that dump!

Because the drivers heard this song and figured the girls must like the cars that go "BOOM!!"

Turn up you speakers for full effect...

It's annoying. I maintain that we're dealing with a generation, mainly males, who are basically big babies. Now in their late teens, 20s and early 30s, these guys maybe never got enough hugs and attention from their mommies growing up, so now they crave attention and attempt to command it from the rest of us wherever they go... uh... drive. Overgrown, narcissistic babies.
