Didya see the mug shots of the recently arrested crooked city-councilpersons from Bell, CA (suburb of LA) who looted the town municipal finances of millions of $$??

Talk about the ethnic faces of contemporary Los Angeles! 8 mugshots of Angelenos and only 2 were caucasian, and I'm not even sure about those two.

Los Angeles is like Paris, France in that way these days. Every Dick and Jane is from a foreign country and speaking a native language other than english.

I don't know if that's good or bad or whatever but it's something people considering moving to LA really should be aware of.

When I was there I encountered a lot of India/Pakistan/Bangledesh etc. Indians, lots of Russians/Poles/Ukrainians eastern europeans, Asians, and of course tons of "south of the border" people.

It's a far cry from Des Moines, Iowa, I'll tell ya that!!

Why do so many forget that white Europeans were once the foreign invaders speaking the strange language? And yes, my ancestors are (mostly) white Europeans.

Thanks, good point Charles. It's a giant plot by the elites to keep wages low, some would claim.

Hey, did you move AGAIN?? Jeeeez. Nice to see you are back living near your favorite turf!

So your comparing the LA metro area with Rhode Island? The LA City alone is 1/3 the size of your state of Rhode Island in land area and the entire Metro area would swallow your state. Chances are if all the people came out for a visit we wouldn't even know about it since we have 18 times the people of your entire state? Since you tossed out Des Moines Iowa as a comparison that city would make a nice little subburb for the LA area but would seldom get noticed with its few people.

Your commenting on little Bell California like it is a big place. They have maybe 30,000 people there. The LA Metro area is a very large place and the fact is that yes we have a diverse background of people. That is one of the areas charms. It is so cool to live in an International City that represents the world population. I bet you can find people from every nation on the globe in the LA metro area. I have been to Des Moines and the Metro area is no comparison to the LA metro area. A better comparison would have been New York, Chicago or some other large place.

You didn't need to mention Rhode Island. You claim to be from there and making statements with a Rhode Island listing below your name makes your place of residence common knowledge, and gives others the right to comment on it, don't you think?

They were all "caucasian" since Latinos are "white" Bell is a heavily Hispanic town and I think all but Rizzo [that's an Italian name, I believe] were Latino.

But getting back to the mug shots; it was great that they all had to spend the night in jail and their bail may be too high for them to get out after the court hearing today. Especially Rizzo who can not pay his bail if the money is from his criminal embezzlement. I hope this incident shows corrupt city officials in other towns what is coming for them as well.

Bello and Spaccia are Italian names as well.
