true about the cops. when i was homeless (working, had an excellent well maintained van- so they couldn't have known i was homeless?) i passed a cop on the way to my regular parking spot in cc. they flipped the car around, and got next to me on washington boulevard and ran parrallel to me for an entire block with a searchlight right in my face. they saw i was just a chick on her own, not banging, not doing anything, and i felt actually menaced for the first and only time by the cops in california. i hadn't even been speeding! nothing! i had to pull over and calm down and then i went back to venice and never spent the night in my van in culver city again.

Culver City is depressing.
It's even more depressing than Pasadena, that should tell you enough.
No, but it's "close" to the beaches in Santa Monica and Venice and that's always a plus if you like that.
I would never live there though, it's desert and it's dead.

They definitely scare the bad guys away.

Culver City is much like LA in general.

-It's very checkered. One block could be great. Downtown culver city has been revitalized. It looks great. But then go on venice blvd, lol. And you'll be reminded of the depressing parts. Western Culver City, centinella is kind of run down. But other parts are nice and middle class.

Some of it is still from the 60's or 70's. Like the stores on sepulveda between venice and jefferson. How long has the ice rink been there? Remember the drive in theater on sepulveda near the bobs big boy and toys r us?

But CC is pretty diverse, it has a lot of good amenities. I'd rather live there than burbank, glendale or the valley, because of the weather.
