Help me out people. I need a place for tonight. A decent/reasonable sushi buffet. I have been to Todai in Studio City and didn't like it much. Please advise!!! Thanks! Also willing to go if it is not in valley, I am in T.O. and will go as far as Malibu, or even Santa Monica.

Forget buffet. Go to a real sushi bar. I found your place. It is called Crazy Tokyo. It is on the NE corner of Topanga and Ventura in Woodland Hills in the shopping center next to the Thrifty or the supermarket. They have a half price menu - this is what you should order from. My wife and I can totally chow down for around $25, no kidding. (Don't order drinks - just take care of business at home and/or the parking lot.) The sushi and sashimi are fresh and made to order. I am sure you will like it. Whenever we are back in TO we make at least one visit there (without our kids).

Go there tonight and post again and confirm I am totally correct.

Thanks.

I agree about skipping the buffet. But I would head for Tama on Ventura. Not the cheapest sushi in the Valley, but not too outrageous either, and surely the best. Order the raw scallop special. Mmm.

Tama Sushi is great. It's run by the orginal owner of Katsu from Los Feliz in the 90's.

Another great sushi bar is Ahi Sushi on Ventura just west of Coldwater on the north side of the street.

3)Kyoto sushi - on devonshire and reseda, dinner 25.99
