I wont. U just shouldnt act like CA is heaven to everybody. It has a lot of nice features and the QOL might even be better than most places back East. But to keep it real, this place has become an extension of Mexico or maybe it always has been and I didnt notice it for the first few years. Also, in case u havent notices...the state is broke!!! Maybe the cuts and everything dont affect u and your charmed life. And did u ever think that everyone is not in love with the beach or palms trees.

So yes, now that i think about it maybe Disneyland is a good place for u and urs. You have it!

Welcome back to LA! I recently moved back to Los Angeles myself, and even though the weather feels kinda gloomy and weird, I wouldn't trade it for the world. I might be leaving again soon for graduate school (we'll see), but in the meantime, I will be savoring every moment I have here. I'm an LA native myself (born in Woodland Hills, raised in North Hollywood except a year in NYC and 3 years in the Bay Area), and always consider this city my home.

Plus free rent. I love free rent. Last time in my life I can enjoy such grateful pleasures.

And where, exactly, did I do that?

So... apparently, in my post, I acted like CA is heaven for everybody, suggested that I live a charmed life, and stated that everyone was in love with the beach and palm trees. Even though I never mentioned the beach.

Every time I see that someone has posted on this thread, my heart sinks a little bit because I suspect it's going to be some jerk who has a miserable life and feels the need to impart their misery on everyone else. God forbid someone is happy!

My life has been almost as far from charmed as a life can get, believe me. And yet I've never felt the desire to "take someone down" who didn't ask for it or deserve it.

I will never understand the need some people have to bring others down to their level of misery.

Please do me a favor and don't. Get therapy. Talk to SOMEone. Make a friend. Meditate. Do yoga. Do whatever you need to. We only get this one life. Why waste it by being miserable and trying to make others as miserable as you?

I sort of agree but I think they are hilarious. I don't think they're harmful. Some of their ideas are just sort of stunted or something.

I have to second the therapy suggestion.

Boston is a more sophisticated, educated and beautiful city than LA.

Glad you're happy though.

Oh gosh .... all over the place! I compete in ballroom, so my comps are actually all over the country and Last year I competed at Blackpool in the UK and made the finals!

As far as local stuff ... I train at Fullerton Dancesport Center in Fullerton. They have a Friday night dance every Friday, and sometimes they have Saturday dances too - just depends on whether the place is rented out or not. Every night of the week they have group lessons, but you have to check the schedule. There are also provate lessons available. This is a training center for competitive dancers. We have some of the BEST trainers in the world!

There are a lot of places I go for social dancing, I can send you a link to the ballroom dance stuff that has everything that's going on. But right now, I gotta go - my Thanksgiving guests just arived.

Happy Turkey Day!!!
