I am moving to LA next week , I transferred my current job as a public safety in a mall. As the economy is bad now , i am planning to pursue MBA next year after i become California resident . Is is easy to get into UCLA or USC MBA Program and which University is cheaper . I graduated from Florida Atlantic University last summer . Share your thoughts

You should consider developing your writing skills and grammar before applying...

UCLA is harder to get into. USC is more expensive. I agree with nufan - you should work on developing your writing and grammar.

It's hard to get into both. UCLA's MBA program is ranked higher and more respected. It's not like you can just move to LA and somehow get into them unless you have what it takes. Kinda like the undergrad programs.

If you are truly looking for top notch MBA programs in Southern California, besides UCLA and USC there is also Claremont.

Drucker MBA

Don't take it personally but don't bother. It is very simple to find the answers to the questions you ask. Even if you are a top undergraduate, blow away the GMAT, and have great work experience, these specific MBA programs are much more than that. You need initiative to succeed.

I seriously doubt any student at either USC or UCLA finds out the tuition by asking a general forum.

Just based on your prior job experience, you're not going to get into either. Sorry but those 2 are some of the top MBA programs in California.

Apply to both because the odds are you won't get accepted, but you never know until you try. UCLA and USC have great reputations. You can't go wrong with either. You will probably need experience at a major financial firm such as Morgan Stanley etc. If you don't have related work experience, you probably wouldn't pass anyways even if you did get accepted. However, it never hurts trying, don't let people stop you. You will find many people who never tried when they were young and now they are bitter and try to discourage everyone else from trying. Good luck!
