When I speak with people younger than I...people working as cashiers, security guards, I think a lot of them are sad or depressed because they feel 'trapped'...so early on in life...

Expecially the females....most girls grow up thinking their going to marry a Prince..(Tiger Woods, Eli Manning, Jeff Gorden ect ect)...just to end up instead flipping burgers at 'Johny Hamburger'...

And the income generated by such a job, isn't enough to get them what they want...so they, or we, 'Charge'....

And charge somemore...it temporarily solves the problem of being poor and broke...and some people charge up between $10,000-$50,000 of debt, using various cards....

Well one day, the buck stops, payments can't get maid, bill collecters start calling...and reality sets in...

'Ok, how am I, Sarah, going to pay back $45,000 of debt...when I only earn $19,000 a year??'...

Realization, then saddness at the fact that now not only does meaningless job pay nothing...but credit is soon to be ruined....and there's still no Prince Charming in sight....

Obviously that's just one scenerio...I mean everyone gets sad and depressed for various reasons...the rich and poor alike...

I'm not sure what females you've been hanging around with, but I've never met anyone like that. Oh, I've met people who over charge on their credit card, but I don't know any woman who "hopes she'll marry a prince" and charges up their credit card on that assumption.

Most women (sorry, girls) I know hope they'll meet & fall in love with a nice, smart guy w/ a job. Most women I know have the dream of being able to support themselves.

I'm really not sure where you're getting YOUR "most girls" from, though. TV? I find it hard to believe that you chat up young cashiers who then tell you the intimate details of their life.

I think families struggle more than single young adults.

Females, if they are attractive, rarely feel trapped as they rarely have to pay for anything. I'm sorry to say but a lot of women live off men. I don't know who's sadder though; the woman who spends all her time grooming herself in a hope of finding herself a wealthy man, or the man who' knows his woman is with him for all the wrong reasons. Probably the latter.

I chatted with a Starbucks barista once, she seemed pretty happy. After work she'd hang out with her friends, sometimes they'd go to the beach; on the weekends they'd drive to Las Vegas or San Diego. She told me she goes to Hawaii with her friends at least once a year, sometimes even twice a year. Didn't sound depressed at all!

I think it's like someone said earlier: it all comes down to you. If you're a naturally happy, optimistic person then I think you're gonna love life no matter where you are (even in Wyoming). If you're like most people; happy-ish but dragging along a tiny cloud, then I think you's gonna be fine in LA as it has a lot of upbeat, optimistic people and you're bound to get infected sooner or later . But if you're like eeyero (the donkey from Winnie the Pooh), then well... don't expect to be happy in LA or anywhere else for that matter.

A man will marry the best looking woman he can afford.
Tight butts get rich husbands.

Sometimes you can tell a guy is rich.

Ok, wait a minute...the top photo of the guy and gal walking by the pool...wait a darn minute...geometrically...how does that work??

I'm trying to visualize them in their private moment...there is no way...without getting graphic...there is just no way...

But wow...you did certainly highlight how people will sell their souls for money...

But I'm sure both of those women have escape plans....all women do...

The sad reality is that there's a lot of gold diggers in LA.

It's obvious the man has money. Women are drawn to money than they are to men. That's why most women choose rich men.
