Default Try Here

I'll offer a specific shop - The Hair Zone in Highland Park (directly between downtown LA and Pasadena).
The address is 5673 York Blvd, cost is $12.00 and all the guys do a great job - just tell them exactly what you want. They are open from 8AM to 6PM M-F and I believe from 8 to 5 on Saturdays. I'm pretty sure it's within 30 minutes of Hollywood and you might enjoy some of the shops as well.

Highland Park is probably more than 30 minutes from Hollywood (although I suppose that depends on time of day and luck when it comes to traffic). Granted, I haven't had my hair cut in Hollywood for several years now, but I had some great luck at Supercuts in Silver Lake; my husband and I both then moved to the much closer (and also very inexpensive) hair place in the mini-mall on Yucca and Cahuenga; not sure if it's still there, but I think the name was Magnific.

I believe there's a Rudy's near the Vista Theatre (Sunset and Virgil). I know there's one at the Standard.
