Not allowing cars with only one person (the driver) in the carpool lane during non-peak hours, e.g. 11pm on Wednesday night.

Allowing people who aren't old enough to drive to be the passenger in a car that qualifies that car for the HOV lane/s.

In Chico, you can't drive a herd of cattle down the street, and detonating a nuclear device within city limits is a $500 fine.

It's illegal to drive more than 2000 sheep down Hollywood Blvd.

There's a $100 license to keep a pet rhinoceros in Norco.

You can't pile manure more than 6 feet high in San Francisco.

I'm glad Cerritos has standards:
All dog "waste" must be removed from any yard within seven days. (Cerritos)

But 1999 sheep are OK
It is illegal to drive more than two thousand sheep down Hollywood Boulevard at one time. (Hollywood)

Now you know why I need to leave the city limits of LA on occasion:
Toads may not be licked. (Los Angeles)

Can I ride my bike instead?
Persons classified as "ugly" may not walk down any street. (San Francisco)

Walnut takes the cake:

Kites may not be flown above 10 feet over the ground. (Walnut)
Children may not wear a Halloween mask unless they get a special permit from the sheriff. (Walnut)

There are many studid laws that you can find in USA. There is no sense among these laws so these laws are really dumb.. Some laws of such type are.

1. It is legal to challenge a police officer, but only until he or she asks you to stop.

2. It is unlawful to walk backwards after sunset.
3. It is considered an offense to shower naked.
4. Dogs may not bark after 6PM.

Can't drink a beer or smoke a joint on the beach. What's a beach for, anyway?

In California it is illegal to eat an orange in a bathtub.
Also
In Los Angeles a man is legally entitled to beat his wife with a leather belt or strap, but the belt can’t be wider than 2 inches, unless he has his wife’s consent to beat her with a wider strap. Consent should be given prior to the event, as is carefully stipulated.

There are more than I can count and, on occassion, regretfully have to enforce.
