Pretty simple question... How bad is it?

What if I did not leave my house in Encino until 9am? Would it be much better?

Thanks!

depends on which part of encino. in some areas of encino it could take 15 minutes or so just to get to the freeway. from the 101/405 interchance, it's probably 30 minutes during normal traffic to the 10 freeway. if you have to take the 10 west or your office is not right off the freeway, it'll we be at least another 10-15 minutes.

Check out Sigalert.com Los Angeles Traffic Map during the times you expect to commute.

Traffic Predict.com - Los Angeles Traffic Map is also OK but it's a little hard to read.

Google Maps traffic at time and day is pretty good too but not quite the resolution of sigalert.

that is the one of those commutes that is extremely quick without traffic, but can be an hour easily (if not more) with traffic. and usually there is traffic!

Does it get better after 9am, or is it totally unpredictable? I will also check out the tools that were recommended by another poster.
