through one of L.A's more scenic urban stretches of frwy the Sepulveda pass connecst the LA Basin to the San Fernando Valley . the pass peaks at 1130 amsl , and has a 5% grade on its northern fringe

misleading video, traffic was moving in both directions, that rarely happens during daylight hours.

Don't know that I'd exactly call the Sepulveda Pass a "relaxing" drive! It is scenic though, I'll give you that.

slow that video down to 1/8 speed and you'll get an idea of the daily grind during normal weekday commutes.

ok ill give you another example of my personal video of a friday night at 6 pm aka rush hour i-405 sound bound the same route but this time all the way to the 105 ! this freeway is not what it is all hyped up to be as far as congested 20 hours a day.

lucky or not , but i did traverse the route many times and no situtations at anytime of the day ? lucky perhaps , but i think 10 lanes it well capable of handling traffic on this section of the 405
