So I just stumbled upon this forum, and I am hoping to get some input from you well informed people
I am planning on moving to the LA area in August or September. My friend will be attending a school in Burbank, and I am very interested in a job in Anaheim that I have found (I know August is still some time away, but it looks like this company will have openings around then, so I am keeping my fingers crossed!) So I was trying to find safe areas that are an equal distance from each location.

I came across West Covina. According to Mapquest it's about 25ish miles each way, to Burbank and to Anaheim.

So here is my question: the morning commute...how bad would that be, going West Covina to Anaheim, and then back during rush hour? Again, Mapquest said 30mins but I know with traffic that is unlikely.

Another question: is West Covina safe? Can anyone give me any more info on this area, or suggestions on other areas that I should consider.

Again, this is all in the early planning stages, but I want to present a few good idea to my friends when the time comes for me to join them in LA. (My friend will be living with his friend for a few months until i am able to get out there).
There will be 3 of us sharing a 2 bedroom apartment. From what I understand from doing some research, the average rent for 2 bedrooms is $1400-$1500. Is this right?

I'm planning on moving there. I'm not even from there And even I'm almost 100% positive that drive would be brutal. Try and get a job in LA instead. Or your friend going to school in orange county. That drive is too much.

Hm I was afraid of that. Where I live now, I went to school about 20 miles away but didn't have to face terrible traffic so it was easy. But I know in LA a 20mile commute could take forever!!

Well he's already set for school in Burbank, but my job and where we live is adjustable.

Do you happen to know any other areas that would be considered safe to live closer Burbank? I think he said something about only have classes on weekends and he doesn't mind commuting since it won't be every day. I guess the main thing is where I get a job since I will be commuting everyday!!!

Thank you for the help!!

I think you should talk to your friend and get some solid info about his school.
