Can anyone tell me what the commute would be like from:
-Manhattan Beach to Chatsworth in the morning (6 or 6:30 am)
-Chatsworth to Manhattan Beach in the afternoon (4 pm ish)

Thanks so much!

Probably not horrible going north in the morning but it is usually bad on the 405 off and on between the Sepulveda pass and Manhattan Beach.

Check these out:

and also, google maps traffic: traffic at time and day

the am commute would probably be under an hour if you have easy freeway access, but the drive home would be brutal. it would be mostly smooth sailing until you get to the 10, but once you get there, it's going to be a crawl the rest of the way on the 405. fwiw, i work in sherman oaks and live in marina del rey. most days the drive is 30-35 minutes. however, it can get up to 45 minutes and that's about half the distance of your hypothetical commute.
