Hi, I am planning to move to new location (still looking). I came across the one unit which I liked most. But I am not sure whether it is good neighborhood or not. The area is to the west of Crenshaw Blvd and West Adams blvd and 7th Ave . Could somebody please advice on this area?

Hi.

Your geography is a bit confusing, since 7th Ave and Crenshaw are parallel. Did you mean on Adams between Crenshaw and 7th?

But anyway. The neighborhoods are generally OK, but, some commercial sections of Adams Blvd and Jefferson Blvd are somewhat abandoned, which is never good for tagging and crime. Adams at Crenshaw is not great. Adams Blvd up on the hill near 7th is better.

It is what it is. Crime is not high for South LA. Schools are not bad for South LA.

I'd feel comfortable getting an apartment in the interior streets of those neighborhoods which are pretty quiet, but I'd probably pass on getting an apartment within a block or two of the major streets like Adams or Jefferson or Crenshaw, with the exception of the apartments on Adams on the top of the hill.

Thank you very much. Yeah, you are right. I was inquiring about the area between creshaw blvd and 7th Ave closed by Adams blvd.
