Hello,

I'm getting a job in Rosemead (Garvey & S. San Gabriel bvd) and I will have to move soon.
I have checked the forum and found a few posts about the area but a bit old or mainly for people wanting to buy a house.
I'm looking for renting instead (1 or 2 bedrooms) in a low crime & *quiet* area.
I'm in my 40's, single and no kids (so schools are not a matter).
I'm european caucasian and have no problem leaving in other ethnicities areas (I currently leave in an asian area).
I'm looking at renting under 1200$.

Rosemead and South San Gabriel are the closest areas. Are there any places to avoid there ? Or better alternatives than those 2 cities ?

And if someone in the area can suggest a good storage place close by...

Thanks !

Theres ok and not ok parts of both cities. You'll honestly just have to go look at the place.

Temple City and Alhambra are both near and are a little nicer. So is Monterey Park.

South San Gabriel is not all that great.

All are asian dominated communities.
