We have to go to my nephew's wedding in Santa Monica. We are flying from Southern Florida.

We are a family of three looking for a very affordable motel that would be close to LAX and Santa Monica (where wedding is).

Would appreciate any information - thanks!

there are a ton of hotels between lax and santa monica, so it's hard to narrow it down to one. as for cheap motels, most are pretty scummy and i wouldn't stay in them. however, you can try a place like the courtyard marriott in marina del rey, which should be cheaper than some of the hotels closer to the beach.

my friend put up like a dozen relatives from the Philipines in the 4 Points Sheraton in Culver City for her wedding. It's not grand, but it's clean, modern & affordable. Plus it's on the westside, close to LAX and right across the street from the Westfield mall.
