Just wondering if the area around the NoHo red line stop is safe during the day. Is that area sketchy to walk around in, or is it fine?

Thanks!

It is generally safe. You need to be wary of high school age and post high school age bangers that either come to the area from East LA on the subway because they know NoHo Art District residents (Where the stop is located) are wealthier or the rest of NoHo because the rest of the neighborhood is not exactly high on the socioeconomic scale.

Generally it is safe, just watch your wallet. Arts District is nice area though.

Is it walkable or is it dangerous to walk alone as a woman (during the day)? What about on the weekends, are the school aged "bangers" around then?

Not at all. I wouldn't worry. Plenty of young single women live there.

No area is 100% safe. No one here can guarantee anyone else will be safe. Life is about chances. Sometimes you are in the wrong place at the wrong time.
I've been at the no ho metro stop many times, and I've walked around the area during the day. There are some homeless and gang types around/ also men who ask for money if you walk too slow. I always say I need to buy my 5 kids diapers. That usually shuts them up. And no I don't have 5 kids. But they just ask for their addictions.
