We are moving to LA and we're pretty sure we'd like to live in the Palisades. My office is in SM and my husband's office is in BH. My commute will be really easy. How terrible will his commute be?

It's absolutely smaaaashing!

Seriously though, if you were to just stay on San Vicente the whole way to Wilshire rather than drive down to the 10 East and sit in that mess for 45 minutes, it'll be a pretty doable drive in your doubtlessly-nice car

Pretty moderate is right. You can do a straight shot down Sunset. Sunset from Palisades to Beverly Hills is pretty open except before the 405 around 8-9 am and again from 3-7 pm. If you need to get out of the pre 405 Sunset traffic, you can divert through the Veteran's Administration.

The drive up Sunset is one of my favorites and usually traffic is pretty acceptable, but it's got a lot more curves and turns than if you just cruise on San Vicente.
