How 'hipster' is Silverlake?

Are we talking equivalent to Portland Oregon?

Or more like 'The Mission' in San Francisco? Or Wiliamburg in Brooklyn, NY?

Or is all basically the same hipster everywhere....I didn't care for the Mission at all, nor did I care for Williamsburg. But Portland Oregon is a pretty cool place.
