Moving Depot in Orange County. They do all areas. Have used them twice to pack and move me from LA to Orange County. They are great, nothing lost, broken or stolen, the workers are all English speaking and you don't freak having them in your house (if you get my meaning). Give them a try.

Default Good ideas.

I am in Utah, but I used a temp./job service company more than once. It is reasonably priced at about $10-12/person/hour. I also have called up a place called the Christian Center, which was affiliated with a Catholic Church. The temp services might have insurance but the Catholic Church wouldn't. Something to check into, just in case somebody gets hurt. ANyway, these groups often know of people that could use a job. The guys worked hard because they need the work. I also bought them pizza and drinks and tipped them. They were great workers and it worked out well. Like all workers, you have to keep on top of them and direct them. But, in my opinion, that is the same with a moving company.

Also, to find free boxes, I just went to our local recycling company & grocery store & bike stores (for big boxes for my pictures/frames). They don't break down the boxes right away, so I could take what I wanted.

Good luck!

We used Flatratemoversla.com and they did a great job packing and moving all of our stuff VERY reasonably. It didn't matter that we had ALOT of stuff or that we moved into a 3 story townhouse!

Now, we are moving again, and they will do the packing/loading only, since we will be driving it out of state!

The price was good, not hourly, and they moved us and re-assembled things. Nice owner and crew, smelled good, a small and personable moving company within Los Angeles.
