So I'm getting shoved over to East LA for work. Boyle Heights area so far from what the day looks like. I don't venture out to LA very often and when I do, its for a concert/game/etc...its for a reason. However, since I'm gonna be over there I'd like to make the best of my Saturday. I'm gonna be off work at about 4pm. I know Little Tokyo isn't too far from that part of LA. Is there anything else I should check out? I'm gonna bring my buddy so I'm not gonna be a loner strolling around LA.

For the BEST burritos in LA County try this Boyle Heights institution:

El Tepeyac Café
812 North Evergreen Ave
Los Angeles, CA

¡Burritos! Hot on the Trail of the Little Burro

I haven't been there in a few years but last time I was there there was a couple from Orange County that drove up to check it out. The Hollenbeck burrito is my favorite and it's HUGE.

Little Tokyo is not a bad call either: The Geffen Musem of Contemporary Art is right there next to the Japanese American National Museum. Check out some art and some history and then take a stroll through Little Tokyo.

Mariachi Plaza at First & Boyle.

I second El Tepeyac. After eating a Hollenbeck buritto, you may be prone to changing the name to El Ipecac.
