Apparently the LA City and County codes allow a pre fab shed size up to 10 ft by 12 ft storage shed of one story, that is not attached to the home dwelling and must be a minimum of 3feet clearance from the home wall. Other factors may require more clearances due to Fire Dept regulations.Particular cities in LA County also may have their own Building Codes that are different than the State Building Codes. LA City building code in 2018 requires their approvals of SHEDS and Car Ports on the properties. Some of these codes also state requirements that a Shed must be pre-approved and how it is to be attached to the ground or concrete surfaces. Those who build their own sheds should beware of your City Codes

Our nutty mayor thinks 10% of residents will build housing units in their backyard for the homeless .

One of his genius ideas to “solve” homelessness

At least as big as the largest tent the homeless people who camp on the sidewalks have, since dollars to donuts, they don't have permits for their stuff either.
