Ah, so Von's is still around?
How many are there? I frequented the one on Peck Road in El Monte.

I used to love the Jacaranda trees in the South Bay. I wish they could tolerate our Virginia winters. One warning about them, however--avoid parking underneath them if you can. They're very messy trees and as I recall they have sap that can damage a car's paint.
