Hi all,

Thanks for all of your help with my questions.

I'm moving to Burbank and living in a studio. Yep, small!!! But, I have to take what I can afford.

What's the average cost of utilities per month for one person in a studio? Like gas, electric, water?

Also, any suggestions on cable or internet companies in Burbank and averages for basic packages? I'll be looking for the least expensive options of course. No spare money for all the bells and whistles.

Thanks!!

Gas- Pretty cheap. Maybe $5-20/mo, depending on if you have your own gas water heater, how warm you like it in the winter (if you have gas heat), and how much you cook

Electric- More expensive, but really depends on your usage. You could spend as little as $20/mo or well over $100/mo if you have an electric water heater and run the AC a lot.

Water- You probably won't have your own meter but you might pay the landlord or a 3rd party billing company for your share monthly. The last time I paid a water bill on a 1 bedroom apartment its was about $25/mo which included trash service. My current apartment doesn't charge for water.

You could always look for a studio where utilities are included in the rent.
