Need date ideas to take out a 20 something single woman. Sick of dinner dates since it's like an interview.

What are the good art galleries here in LA? The lady likes art, I haven't the first idea about it.

Any other ideas besides that general run of the mill stuff?

Not hiking though!

The Downtown Artwalk is only once a month but pretty cool with multple art galleries open to the public. The next one is July 14th.

One other option is the Geffen Museum of Contemoporary Art in Little Tokyo and since it is in Little Tokyo you can stroll around after to shops or have a drink. If your date is going really well (or bad) you could also take her to the Japanese Garden (also in Little Tokyo). No hiking boots required...

Have you checked out the Getty Museum? The Getty It's a nice place to go with lots of things to see inside and beautiful gardens outside.

She likes art she told me. I never have good luck with just dinner. I was thinking art gallery then dinner. She works most nights in the service industry, so going to a bar is not that unique. What are some other options I am missing besides dinner/bar and art gallery/dinner?

An art gallery could be fine if that's what she is really into. I'm just saying back when I was in my 20's, long time ago, on a first date, I would find something a little more action packed. For example a rock concert or club with a good band ... or hitting a good pier with lots of cool shops (including art) and possible some amusement rides ... or head to Catalina for the day ... Big Bear village ... or a comedy club. I'm not saying an art gallery is bad but seems pretty subdued for a first date.
