Is Vernon(the city, not the street) in L.A considered by locals to be south east l.a or South Central/South L.A? I know it borders what is known as South East L.A as well as East South Central..so was just curious what location it is considered.

You just brought back some horrible memories of a job I once had in Vernon. They use to lock us in the building after a certain time because they were scared of crime! Ugh and the manager use to touch me every time he would explain a task. They called me a snob because I didn't like the touching. A.n.y.w.a.y.

certain parts of vernon can be considered south central, but its mostly south east. consider the western edge that borders areas like the pueblo [housing projects] and such. then there are parts that border maywood and bell. thats more south east.

I was in the southLAnd the other day and typed "whole foods" into my GPS...it led me to a empty warehouse in Vernon! Ugliest part of the area I've seen yet, though I guess its technically not LA.

I don't think there are any WholeFoods/Trader Joes in that area and the surrounding areas. It truly is such an ugly part of LA. Proper industrial. Hated working round there.

It brought up "whole foods commissary" on my TomTom GPS. Nothing but abandoned warehouses. Went to Trader Joe in Silverlake a few hours later.

The one=Is the pueblos considered vernon?

because i was curious if there are any active gangs in vernon being that it is an odd low population area.
