Hello everyone,

Great info on this forum. I am taking a job in Whittier and I currently live in West LA. I am looking to move closer to new job once I am sure it is stable, but I will be commuting for now. Any idea how horrible this will be? I am an early riser and planning on living my house 5:30 - 6 am, so I am not worried about am commute too much. What about PM? How horrible is that? I did google maps on this commute and it seems you can take Whittier blvd to 6th street and take that all the way down to West LA. Is that any better?

If you leave by 530am, no issues. Take the 10 to the 5. Then depends where you work in whitter...either 605 to whatever main street or take surface streets off the 5.

Returning home at 230 or 3pm...it will just depend. Use a gps or smart phone that shows traffic. Might take the 5 to the 10, might take 605 to 105 to 405, might take 605 to the 60 to the 10.

Surface streets would be a really bad option as I think it would take 2 hours even in non rush hours.
