Dre was never really much of a rapper. More of a producer. He always had people writing his lyrics.

I saw Ice Cube this year @House of Blues. Man has not aged one bit. He's doing pretty well for himself. He had some great albums back then. I vote for Cube.
Yeap Cube still got it!

If you know his history, Dre is the most important rapper out of Compton, period. Without his talents (rapping, production, whatever) NWA wouldn't have achieved as much success. In the early 90's he did all the production that made Death Row Records a force in rap music. Tupac wouldn't have blown up the way he did. Same goes for Snoop Dogg. He also laid the tracks on Eazy E's first album. His album "The Chronic" won a grammy in 1993 and is considered one of the best ever; Rolling Stone has it at 137 all time.

John Singleton is assembling the cast for the NWA biopic, slated for 2012. Dre, Cube and Eazy's widow Tomica are the producers. So, who gets to play Eazy?

Yeah he's a great Record Producer but not Rapper/Lyricist hence why he has other people writing his bars. Ice Cube is a great Rapper, listen to his lyrics, his flow and he works with great producers including Dr Dre.

Cube and Dre went on to do a lot of stuff but I just like Easys lyrical delivery style the best.
