It's bad! It takes forever to get through town and then there's always at least two random spots where you end up bottle necked in the middle of the desert. On the way back you have to slow down to a crawl to make sure you aren't smuggling bananas in your Honda Accord.

Start at at 5:20 pm from Norwalk?! You'll be going backwards until 7:00 pm!!

Kidding obviously, but don't torture yourself by leaving at the time. Leave at 8:00 pm or so--you'll get there past midnight (that's waaay early for Vegas anyway), but you won't have nearly as much miserable traffic to deal with.

They talked about putting in a train forever from somewhere in California to here. One lame brain came up with the idea of putting a train to Victorville as if anybody wants to go there. Put it somewhere in central L.A. and maybe people would use it to come here. I won't be waiting up for that to ever happen though. But if it did, it might cut the trip to 3 or 4 hours.

Las Vegas pushed for a train but wanted CA to foot the bill. Why not, if we send all our money to Las Vegas we might as well pay for it to get there.

People here are super dramatic. Whenever I go to Vegas, I usually leave downtown LA around 6pm and I usually make it to Vegas by about 11pm. Once you get on I-15, by 8:30pm, you can cruise at 90 MPH no problem.

Jet Blue has a sale until tomorrow.. $29 from Long Beach to Vegas each way through the end of March.. Maybe you should just fly. Probably cheaper than gas and food

Maybe if L.A. plays a poker game with Las Vegas...loser's chips pay for the train.

Does anyone miss the Bun Boy in Baker? That place was iconic, with the big thermometer nearby.

I haven't been to vegas in years, I stopped going when the venetian and paris hotel were settled in the early 2000's. I think a few years after they opened. Haven't seen Wynn or Encore.
