What is your feeling regarding occupy LA being allowed to participate in the tournament of roses parade?
I think it is politics plain and simple, and should not be allowed.
Bob.

I seem to recall reading that the Tournament of Roses in the past has allowed other politically oriented groups to march AT THE END OF THE PARADE after all floats, etc., have passed. I understand those are the terms under which the occupiers will march, so I have no problem with it at all.

But if they disrupt the parade, that's different.

Only if they duct tape all their tents together and put wheels under them. We want to see a true DIY float from OWS.

Parade of tents would be cool, actually

bwahaha! A parade of tents would be a riot!

From what I'm hearing from my Occupy friend on Facebook, I think it's going to be an "Occupus"--an octopus representing the tentacles of corporate greed. Attractively produced in flowers, of course.
