Rash of arson fires continues, spreads across wider area - latimes.com

A riot by any other name....LAPD and LAFD are on tactical alert and there are already comparisons to what happened post-Rodney King...

And the group of people appear not to like gays, liberals, Jews, Hispanics, or immigrants, based on where the fires have been set.

Wonder who it could be?

My guess is, a group from the occupy movement.
They just hate seeing hard working people have better things than they do.
The lazy bas...ds don't understand things are not going to be handed to them., so because they don't live in high rent areas, and don't drive expensive cars, they do all they can to destroy those that have worked hard for what they have.
Bob.

Very scary! A coworker of mine had her car burned down saturday morning in hollywood. I also live in a very vulnerable apt building in weho. Our carports are right underneath the units and we've been advised to street park if possible. They really need to catch these sob's asap!

Way to go, instilling race into this with absolutely no evidence. So no white people were affected, except gays and liberals?!

Wonder who you could be? A liberal white or Jew with gay tendencies?

Wasn't Jim Morrison's former house in the Laurel Canyon burned? That would eliminate the racist, ethnic theory. Does anyone remember the crazy eco-terrorists burning cars on lots several years ago? That was my first thought. My husband is now working in the Santa Monica area and has street parking until we find a house. Very scary indeed.

I don't think it's like 1992 at all. The riots were almost like a war of all against all.

This event appears confined to one sick SOB (or several sick SOB's). So I think it is more akin to 1985: when Richard Ramirez terrorized the city until he was caught.

Luckily, the arsonsist (or arsonsists) have NOT killed anyone YET. But the similarity I see is you have one crazy individual (or several) terrorizing the city.

I have it on good authority that it was an extremist break off faction of Mother's Against Drunk Driving. Now, I understand most MADD members are peaceful but this is what happens when their heated rhetoric goes too far!
