I am thinking about moving to California when I finish college. I am going to be a graphic designer. I have my ear lobes stretched over 1 inch. Would I be able to find a job being a graphic designer there? Do people there care about piercings and tattoos?

I've had my ears pierced twice and both are stretched but they're not huge gauges and I have my conch gauged up as well. I haven't had a problem getting a job. You just need to have a great portfolio. Most of us graphic/web designs make music and are in bands and tend to be more expressive with our dress sense. The last gig I had, my creative director had bright pink and orange hair wearing lots of colourful clothing. It's the art field. Everyone's got tattoos these days (excluding me). No one cares. All my bosses have had tatts.

It's only if you're dealing with clients everyday and going to big corporate meetings, that's when a company might be more strict on dress code.
