How bad of a commute is Echo Park and Silver Lake to LAX and Vice – versa. Standard work hours are M-F starting between 8 AM and 8:30 AM and leaving anytime after 5 or so. I could potentially go to the gym nearby and leave after 7 in order to cut down the evening rush hour. Thanks.

i've never done that drive, but anytime you're headed west in the AM and east in the PM you'll definitely hit traffic. based on the distance alone, i would guess about an hour each way.

I did that drive a few times when I lived in Silver Lake and would drop / pick up my room mates from the airport.

Plan on 45 mintues to an hour. I took Riverside Drive, near the 5, to the 110, to the 105.

Depending if you're picking up or dropping off, you can use the carpool lane on the 110 and 105, which saves you a ton of time. The time to travel when you are solo is about twice as long.

yoyoma02 - Thanks!

Is that time based on going solo or using the carpool lanes? Unfortunately I would be solo.

Thanks!
