I don't plan on doing my laundry at a laundry mat; my apt building has machines. However, I need crap loads of quarters. I am assuming most laundry mats have coin machines that deposit quarters and that this would be the easiest way to get quarters? Line at bank is too long and most cashiers don't like to give out change. Do the coin machines mainly only take dollar bills or credit card too?

Nightscape, if you happen to be reading this, is there a local machine nearby? Thanks

I have never heard of a laundry mat accepting credit or debit cards. Who cares if the bank tellers dont like giving out change. If they give you a hard time speak to the bank mgr. Coin machines still exist at laundry mats. I have a small washer at home that i use & i dont have a dryer. I just hang my wet clothes wherever & they dry anywhere from a few hrs to a few days. We have a laundry room here but i havent used it in many years.

Carry pennies and use them to get quarters in you daily purchases. I get a couple of rolls of quarters at a time at the bank. I've never been given an attitude for buying quarters. Its probably all in your head.

What I meant was that cashiers at stores don't like to give out quarters. I don't feel like standing in line at the bank; it takes too long. There must be another way without having to stand in line?

Grocery stores should have no problem selling you a roll or two. I used to work in one and it was never a problem.

I already found a great source for quarters. Trader Joes on Sunset gave me a roll of quarters for $10!! This is the best and most convenient way for me to get quarters since i shop there constantly. yay for TJ!
