MB8's so right. Yes, L.A. is more image-conscious than other cities, but there's plenty of pretty, ugly, and ugly-but-made-to-look-pretty people here. But REAL and GOOD people eclipse them all.

A mutt? Even better! You probably look half white/half black or Mediterranean/Arabic yet speak Swedish so people go crazy trying to figure out your ethnicity, nationality, etc. White American girls are nice but they are dime a dozen in the US, so foreign girls have the leverage and it would be an excuse for those who want to talk to you and get to know you.
If you really worry about having extra weight or stretch marks, you can easily become outgoing and find some activities or get involved in sports and burn them fat away. Stay away from fast/junk food and you will be alright. I hope your mom can and does cook.
Remember, what other people think of you is none of your business. You be yourself and the rest could be another 90210 episode.
